Bhaktivedanta Hospital & Research Institute is a 200 bedded not-for-profit, multi-specialty, NABH accredited hospital committed to integrated holistic healthcare practice, community service, education and research. The Hospital is a project of Sri Chaitanya Seva Trust which is rendering various community initiatives for the welfare of rural and tribal populations largely in 3 Districts – Thane, Palghar and Mathura.
Bhaktivedanta Ayurveda is a unique combination of modern technology with innovation without compromising the Ancient wisdom of Ayurveda.
The department of ayurveda has conducted successful research in the area of pediatric asthma, role of Panachkarma in management ischemic heart disease. It has always come up with valuable contributions in the form of preventive medicine, predictive medicine , proactive medicine and curative medicine.
Dr Ajay P. Sankhe
Director, Bhaktivedanta Hospital and Reseach Institute
Dr Ajay Sankhe has passed his M.D. in Paediatrics from Mumbai University in the year 1989. For more than 25 years, he is in clinical practice and is renowned as a well known Paediatrician in the North region of Mumbai and Thane.
He is the Director of Bhaktivedanta Hospital and Research Institute which is a 200 bedded tertiary care centre at Mira road. He is also the Director of 6 more units of Bhaktivedanta Hospital located in Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh. Bhaktivedanta Group of the hospital is known for its quality medical care with an added spiritual component.
Under his leadership, the hospital has collectively performed more than forty thousand free surgeries for poor patients.
The hospital has received a Worldwide Achievers Health care excellence summit award in 2015 for “Best multispeciality Hospital in Maharashtra for Innovation and Research” at the hands of Hon. Mr Ram Vilas Paswan.

Professor - IIT Bombay
Prof. Ganesh Ramakrishnan (https://www.cse.iitb.ac.in/~ganesh/) is currently serving as an Institute Chair Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT Bombay. His areas of research include Human Assisted Machine Learning, symbolic representation in machine learning and computational linguistics in Indian languages. In the past, he has received awards such as IBM Faculty Award and awards from Qualcomm, Microsoft Research, Adobe etc as well as the IIT Bombay Impactful Research Award. He also held the J.R. Isaac Chair at IIT Bombay. Ganesh is very passionate about boosting the AI research eco-system for India and toward that, the research by him and his students, as well as collaborators, has resulted in several startups, two of which he has (jointly) founded and the rest he has been mentoring. He has advised 15 PhD students and contributed to more than 15 projects, including several with an impact on the rural and unorganized sector in India. He has over 90 publications in refereed conferences and journals. He has worked extensively in the area of human interaction in machine learning (project https://decile.org/), feature induction and relational learning in machine learning (including algorithms and data structures for scaling them up), Indian language OCR and Post-editing, Programmable Machine Translation, Indian language search, entity and relationship search, ICT for rural areas, etc.
Prof Ashutosh Kumar
Professor - Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Bombay.
working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT Bombay, Mumbai.His area of research is NMR based Structural Biology. His work involves studying the structure and mechanism of action of protein complexes such SCF complex, specialized Nucleosome, and amyloid fibrils using state of the art solid- state and solution-state NMR spectroscopy along with other Biophysical tools. Ashutosh has made significant contribution in developing NMR methods and applying those on complex biological macromolecules to deduce structure and dynamics of these molecules.
Prof. Kumar received his M.Sc. in Chemistry from IIT Delhi followed by his Ph. D. at the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research, Mumbai. He did his postdoctoral research at MPI for Biophysical Chemistry Goettingen, Germany before coming back to IIT Bombay. Since 2011, he is heading the group in IIT Bombay.

Sri Umesh Gaikwad is the director of Sri Sarveshwar Seva Sanstha an organization that is actively involved in the promotion and conservation of indigenous breeds of cows. Umesh Ji, work is especially focused on establishing the role of Indian cows in eradicating diseases and reviving traditional farming practices. His other initiatives aim towards the eradication of environmental pollution, restoring people’s quality and longevity of life with toxin-free food as the basis and replenishing groundwater levels. His most important contribution in the recent past has been towards turning the densely populated Covid infested suburb of Kurla Dharavi into Covid free and this has been his inspiration towards the ongoing research behind Ayurcoro-3.
Dr Vijaykumar Gawali
( MBBS, PGDCR, PCPV, NABH Assessor-Clinical Trial Program)
Dr Vijaykumar Gawali is currently serving as, “Head of Dept – Clinical Research & Education” at Bhaktivedanta Hospital and Research Institute, Thane, Maharashtra. He completed his medical graduation in 2004 from Topiwala National Medical College and BYL Nair Charitable Hospital, Mumbai, post which completed his post-graduation in Clinical Research and Pharmacovigilance. He received training in international regulations in clinical research in more than a dozen countries. As a co-investigator, he himself successfully completed 30 international clinical trials. He has supervised more than 300 national and international clinical trials. He served as Member Secretary for 3 consecutive years on, “Institutional Scientific & Ethics Board ” and also a pioneer of the Medical Research Dept at reputed, joint commission international accredited, “Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital and Research Institute”, Mumbai. He is a well known NABH ( quality standard in clinical research ) Assessor for Clinical Trial Program. He is very passionate about teaching clinical research science to young budding professionals and a pioneer in starting, “Post graduate diploma in clinical research ” course which is the first of its kind in India. He has mentored more than 200 clinical research professionals and has many publications on his credit.
